Bienestar Contributes to Research

Two new studies have examined the Bienestar/NEEMA Health Program and the HEALTHY Study's impact on Type 2 diabetes and obesity in San Antonio Populations. "A School Based Intervention for Diabetes Risk Reduction" appeared in the July 29, 2010 edition of the New England Journal of Medicine and "Identifying Barriers that Hinder Onsite Parental Involvement in a School-Based Health Promotion Program" appeared in the September 2010 edition of Health Promotion Practice.
